Founder, Chief Executive Officer & Chairman

Torren McCarthy is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of Morsby, Gorman, McCarthy LLC, a global advisory and development firm focused on infrastructure strategy, cross-border investment alignment, geopolitical consulting, and institutional engagement.

His work centers on aligning government priorities with private-sector execution capacity while navigating complex political, regulatory, and operational environments. McCarthy maintains active engagement with senior stakeholders across governmental, financial, and corporate sectors.

His academic training in international affairs, economics, and security studies informs his perspective on governance systems, geopolitical risk, and the strategic coordination of large-scale international initiatives.

Avery Gorman

Chief Operating Officer

Avery Gorman serves as Chief Operating Officer of Morsby, Gorman, McCarthy LLC, where he oversees operational governance, compliance architecture, and execution oversight across the firm’s international engagements.

With a background as a Cyber Surety Specialist in the 108th Air Refueling Wing and experience in financial operations and internal systems management, Gorman brings a disciplined approach to organizational structure, regulatory alignment, and operational risk management.

His leadership focuses on ensuring the firm’s strategic initiatives are supported by strong operational systems, compliance integrity, and scalable implementation frameworks.

Josh Potter

Chief Security Officer

When it comes to experience and expertise in the security field, Joshua J. Potter is a reliable, organized and diligent professional with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. His calm and assertive nature has been evident in his past experiences offering his facet of skills ranging from risk management, security, team building, talent development among others. Joshua is a Certified Emergency Management Professional with over 25 years of experience culminating as a colonel with U.S Special Operations Command.

Joshua has served as director of different operations in different countries providing insightful and excellent strategic planning in regards to his job specifications. He is an Anti-Terrorism / Force Protection Level II Instructor with a Master’s of Science in Joint and Campaign Planning from National Defense University. He has Led organizations in Special Forces, Civil Affairs, PATRIOT missile systems, security & intelligence activities and reconnaissance operations in more than 47 countries.

Today, Joshua is the chief security officer of Morsby Gorman McCarthy LLC (MGM LLC) where he is expected to bring his unique years of professional experience to ensure that the organization’s security function adds value and gives a competitive edge. He is also responsible for implementing security protocols, check and monitor the access control of the people who are visiting the company and also review reports on incidents, breaches, and potential threats. In his spare time, he also volunteers as a keynote speaker, advisor, and mentor for different organizations.

Mohamed Sylla

Chief Financial Officer, Head of Sub-Saharan Regional Office

Mohamed Sylla is a dedicated financial expert and a leading expert in West African politics. Diligent and goal-oriented, he has a remarkable record of driving radical growth, optimizing employee performance and restructuring financial operations to maximize profit. His career spans more than twelve years of financial and managerial experience built on his analytical acumen, strong leadership abilities and impeccable interpersonal skills. He also has a strong background in business administration as evidenced in his innovative handling of organizational operations and a noteworthy detail orientation.

Sylla previously served in a variety of roles, including a role as a customer relation specialist, he prepared timely and accurate customer invoices in accordance with negotiated contracts, policies and procedures. He also served as an assistant manager at a prominent transportation company where he oversaw the training of new employees, achieved sales targets, and assisted in the preparation and processing of biweekly payrolls for over fifty employees.

Sylla holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Delaware. He is also an alumnus of the French School of Guinea, the University of Quebec, Montreal, and the Concordia University. He hails from Conakry, Guinea, and currently resides in Delaware. The combination of a diverse and illustrious skillset made Mr.Sylla a natural fit for his position as CFO and Regional Office Head here at Morsby,Gorman,McCarthy L.L.C

Paloma Videla

Chief Artistic-Creative Officer

With her artworks constantly being featured in art shows in the Southern United States, Paloma Videla is undisputedly a nationally recognized industry influencer with strong leadership, strategy development and project management skills. She has spent the past eight years honing her expertise in painting, drawing, photography, glass blowing and mixed media.

As the Chief Aristic Creative Officer at Morsby, Gorman, McCarthy LLC, Videla is tasked with keeping the firm invigorated with her artistic innovativeness. She oversees all aspects of the creative processes of the firm, which involves recruiting upcoming artists for the firm’s collective art house, and curating various art exhibitions yearround. She attended college in Spain where she originally studied the field of social work, but soon realized that art was her true calling and passion.

Videla was raised in the Northeastern United States but has called the Spanish City of Barcelona home for the majority of her life. She is just as fluent in Spanish, Catalan and Italian as she is in English Language. An avid global traveler, Videla is passionate about learning new cultures as well as new languages. She is set to launch a dedicated art house along with an assortment of fellow artists.
